About CreateNeon ® New Zealand

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

CreateNeon was founded by Jordan Christie in 2020. A visual artist, Jordan discovered his passion for creating art later in life rather than during childhood.

Although his early attempts at drawing sometimes discouraged him, he gradually embraced the creative process and learned to value the experimentation and setbacks that can lead to unexpected and beautiful results.

As his artistic journey developed, Jordan incorporated traditional neon tube lighting into one of his artworks. The result was well received by family, friends and mentors, who appreciated the energy and visual impact that neon lighting brought to his work.

He began creating neon artwork for local art galleries, and that experience inspired him to explore the possibilities of neon design further.

Jordan wanted to make the colour, creativity and glow of neon-inspired art accessible to more people. That vision led to the creation of CreateNeon.

He built a team of talented artists who enjoy shaping flexible LED neon into distinctive designs for a wide range of customers and applications.

Jordan believes that everyone with an idea should have the opportunity to express their creativity. This belief inspired the development of an easy-to-use online sign maker that allows customers to design their own custom LED neon lettering.

As CreateNeon grew, its services expanded to reach customers in New Zealand, making it easier for Kiwis to explore custom LED neon signs for their homes, businesses and special occasions.

Whether you already have a finished design or need help developing an idea, our design and customer support teams can guide you through the process of creating a custom sign.

MORE ABOUT OUR SIGNS

OUR SIGNS ARE: STANDARD PLUG-IN SIGNS

CreateNeon signs are made with flexible PVC neon flex designed to provide bright, energy-efficient illumination. Unlike traditional glass neon, LED neon flex is less prone to shattering. LED lighting generally uses less energy than traditional lighting, making it a popular option for homes, businesses and events.

Our standard plug-in neon signs typically include a clear cable connected to a supplied dimmer, followed by a power supply with a plug suitable for the destination country. Check the specifications for your chosen sign to confirm the included accessories and power requirements.

BATTERY- OR USB-POWERED SIGNS

We generally recommend plug-in signs for regular use. Battery-powered and USB-powered options may also be available for selected smaller signs. These portable options can be useful for parties, exhibitions, concerts and other occasions where a standard power connection may not be convenient. Availability depends on the sign model.

ACRYLIC NEON SIGNS

Acrylic-backed neon signs offer a durable and versatile option for a range of settings. Some models are designed for outdoor use and may feature sealed construction or other weather-resistant components. Suitability for outdoor installation depends on the specific sign, its protection rating and installation conditions. Always check the product specifications before choosing a sign for outdoor use in New Zealand.

WATER-RESISTANT NEON SIGNS

Selected signs may be designed to withstand limited exposure to moisture. However, not every neon sign is suitable for outdoor use or exposure to rain. Always check the protection rating and product specifications before installing a sign in a damp or exposed location.
